Embroidery: A Cool Job
An Embroidery Machine Operator tends semi-automatic sewing machine with multiple-sewing heads controlled by pattern chain that embroiders designs on garments or garment parts: Positions garment or part over embroidery hoops arranged in hoop frame, following edges or markings on fabric. He places the hoop frame on machine bed and turns thumbscrews to secure frame to machine. Presses button to start the machine that sews design onto garment or part and stops, or sews one color of multiple-color design and stops. When sewing multiple-color designs, rethreads machine with subsequent colors of thread and starts machine to complete design. Removes hoop frame from machine on completion of design and removes garment or part from hoops.
Before i tried the call center workplace, i have been working as an embroidery machine operator for ACCURA Printmasters.
The photos below show the type of machine that i have been operating for almost 6 months, the TAJIMA Computerized Multi-head Embroidery Machine:

Pahinis de Laua-an: a bountiful gaiety
LAUA-AN-is a municipality located in the central part of Antique. Before the Spanish-American war Laua-an was already a pueblo. Barbaza like Laua-an had also an independent seat of government but when the filipino-American war ensued the American army burned the municipal building and Barbaza lost its identity as municipality. Therefore Barbaza was accidentally became an integral part of Laua-an.TAN LUIS SARMIENTO became the first municipal mayor of LAUA-AN:When he sought reelection, he lost to JUSTIANO BARRIENTOS of Barbaza. The majority of winning officials came from Barbaza. It was agreed among the winning and losing participants in the election that the seat of government would be transferred back to Lauaan should a candidate from Laua-an win the election.Consequently during that period the famous Gobaldon law was approved by the U:S congress and the US aid in the form of building materials intended for the municipality of Laua-an were instead constructed in Barbaza. This tyranny of numbers was disliked by the residents of Guisijan and Laua-an.They filed the petition before the Governor General Wood to separate Barbaza to Lauaan to avoid further political turmoil.Upon the proper representation of TAN LUIS SARMIENTO before the Governor General,Barbaza was separated immediately from Laua-an when he returned from MANILA.During the same year,TAN LUIS SARMIENTO was elected again as municipal mayor of Laua-an and assumed office in 1912 for the second time. LAUA-AN-is politically subdivided into 40 baranggays and with the population of more than 23,0000.
Pahinis de Laua-an came to Iloilo from Antique to revel in the Dinagyang 2007 Kasadyahan Competition. The tribe aims to promote the native product of the town, which is muscovado sugar and the deliciously sweet delicacies derived from it.

Move over Friday the 13th, Valentines Day here it comes!
Yes!
Guess what?
Friday the 13th is over!
Thanks God we're all safe.
I'm quite scared of this day 'cause i already had a bad experience before.
We are used to the tradition that Friday the 13th is a wicked day.
you know, there's a lot of bad news, unwanted events that show up and even
worst accidents.
Friday the 13th is actually derived from the concatenation of the Greek words Paraskeví (Παρασκευή) (meaning Friday), and dekatreís (δεκατρείς) (meaning thirteen), attached to phobia (φοβία) (meaning fear).
Really, it's the day after that you should be terrified of.
I remember 'twas February 13, 2004. Its 2 in the afternoon and i was about to go to my next class. Coming from the other side of the street, i crossed the main road. I never thought there would be such unexpected vehicle to rush through me cause its a very busy road, a lot of students crossing and cars are parked on the road sides.
But all of a sudden, i didn't know where the hell it came from, a motorbike showed up and it barely bumped on me! Thanks God the driver has quickly made the bike stop lest i would be sandwiched on the tricycle next to me.
So that event made me believe that Friday the 13th is an accident prone day.
Enough of that. its over. Now lets celebrate cause its Valentines Day.
Yes, celebrate if you have your significant other with you. As for me, i have to spend this day alone and working. Sigh.

Rihanna and Chris brown canceled their performance in Grammy 2009?
I am a workaholic i must say. I don't have much time to watch tv. I only have small amount of time browsing the headlines in the newspaper.
I was working yesterday, as usual. Now, what surprised me is, one of my clients suddenly opened the topic about Rihanna. I am actually at the brim of making him purchase my "product", and out of nowhere he asked me: You heard the news about Rihanna?
I was surprised of course, cuz its rarely happens that my clients talk about Hollywood and the music scene when i do sales with them. Well then, I asked back, "Why what happened to her?"
I didnt wait for him to answer my curious question. I opened a new tab on my Mozilla browser and Googled about the latest Rihanna controversy. A lot of links supply the headlines that tell one thing: Rihanna Cancels Grammy Performance, Chris Brown Investigated for Battery.
Damn, whatever the reason they may have, its not good to neglect such a prestigious event in an 11th hour. I know their career must be affected by this controversy.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
I have watched this movie three months ago but i didn't appreciate it well since the dvd tape that i had is just a work of piracy. I'm sorry, pirated tapes are everywhere in the Philippines and they're a lot cheaper than copyright ones. Some tapes can be clearly recorded from movie houses I presume but you can't expect a Dolby Digital Sound even if you are using the most high-tech home entertainment package. You could hear laughter and chitchats and you can even notice shadows of moviegoers recorded in the tape.
Anyway, one week ago I watched this movie again (The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian). But FYI, I'm still using a pirated dvd tape, this time its more clear and sharp, hehe. The story is no longer seen in a grand hall where you can see Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy were made monarchs. the grand hall has fallen into ruin, and the woodland creatures and the seemingly computer-animated fur were not in the current scene.
The return of the exiled child kings and queens to Narnia is even no longer a fantasy story but rather some kind of a tragedy. You could see a dark castle near the forest, Renaissance soldiers wearing heavy battle armors and helmets. There's murder and betrayal, brave dwarfs and talkative rabbits were there and even Aslan, in his calm voice showed up eventually.
The episode is even livelier, more fighting scenes packed with action and heat compared to The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
In Narnia, 1,300 years have already passed. But for the Pevensie children: Peter (William Moseley), Susan (Anna Popplewell), Edmund (Skandar Keynes) and Lucy (Georgie Henley, the sweetest girl ever), a year merely passed. They're back to Narnia and the prime purpose is to restore Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes, OMG he's hot!) to the throne seized by his wicked Uncle Miraz. Even if Barnes stood hero, they cant resist a chance against sword-fighting rodents, minataurs/centaurs, giants and bears. And i notice the appearance of the brave dwarf and the comeback of the White Witch.
"Prince Caspian" is a bit darker than “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.” for me, its more satisfying and worth watching. This story however (a tale of a heroic adventure) is based on human problems of power, cruelty and conflict.
Somehow, i would like to compare this movie to Philippines yielding Encantadia when it comes to battle sequences in a castle courtyard, odd creatures and classic fantasy settings of rocks and curves. Better yet, i would like to compare this movie to the earlier "The Lord Of the Rings"incorporating elements of the natural one: sparkling water and feathery green forests that look both real and otherworldly.
I love the movie. The young actress Georgie Henley, as the littlest Pevensie, Lucy, once again is the cutest pie: giving the best performance in a more dangerous Narnia with a sense of lightness and determination. Ben Barnes is just perfectly good looking i cant resist him. The movie is totally a product of film-making, no doubt.

Bright Kid
When i was a kid, my teacher asked me
what i wanted to be when i grow up.
I told her: " I want to be happy."
She scolded me telling me that I did not
understand the question.
I told her:
"Being happy is beyond
every noble profession
that the world ever has!"
She was shocked. Just so you know,
i was in the preparatory school that time.
it does make sense

Boyfriend vs. Suitor
Suitor:
I love her more than anything and anyone in this world.
I love her more than my life. I'll give everything for her.
I will never make her cry. I love her so much that
I'll die for her. I'll love her forever.
Boyfriend:
I LOVE HER.
Suitor:
What?! That's all??
Boyfriend:
and SHE LOVES ME!
*looser..haha!*

In A Nutshell
* Most of us would say:
find out what makes you happy and pursue it.
But wouldn't that make your life more complicated?
Life will be a little less complicated if you do it
the other way around:
Find out what makes your life miserable
and stop doing it.
* Things in life move with twists and turns
and they happen for valid reasons.
So if you doubt why something happens to you,
stick to this:
We can never learn to be brave and strong
if the only thing in this world is joy.
You always have people around you,
so you dont have to fight alone.
* Acknowledging your feelings
and sharing it unconditionally, is Love.
Fighting for what would really
make you happy, is Courage.
Letting go of what once you had
if it belongs to another, is Respect.
Knowing when to do which, is Wisdom.
But doing what wisdom dictates, is a Challenge.
* Facts about friends:
50% of them know and like you because
of the favors you do or did for them;
30% of them have seen you at your best;
15% of them shared your pain;
But only 5% knows the real story of your entire life.
* Notice how all of a sudden,
love quotes revolve on TWILIGHT?
Do we really need to seek for the impossible?
We cant have vampires as lovers.
We cant be immortal.
We cant be perfect.
But what we can do is to stick with reality
and have our own Twilight story.
* Sometimes we're all caught up in the idea
of pleasing everybody. But in the end, we're the one's
who are unhappy. Its not wrong to follow your heart.
Its not wrong to defy all odds. Live your life the way
you wanted it to be. Share it with someone you wanna
spend the rest of your life with. Cause afterall, more than
anything else, the general rule is pleasing the Almighty, and
not fearing the second rate opinion of others. Be real. Be you. Be free.
* Sometimes i wonder what it looks like through
someone else's eyes. To see the grass change colors
while the seasons change. To watch as the Sun slowly
drifts across the blue sky till it vanishes the crest of
the earth, or maybe even like in another world. A world
which life is isn't too fortunate. A world where the eyes
that i look through see pain more than love, greed more
than giving, or even war over peace. Sometimes this
thoughts cross my mind. And when they do, I realize
the truth.
The truth where i stand!
find out what makes you happy and pursue it.
